What is the Latest Finish Time?

The latest finish time is the latest possible date and time by which a project segment can be completed without negatively impacting the completion date for an entire project. If the latest finish time is exceeded, it delays the start time of the next project segment, and therefore the completion of the project as a whole. The concept is used in the planning of projects using the program evaluation and review technique (PERT).
